I had an issue with my oven where the timer button wasn’t working and I couldn’t turn it off. I contacted YuLiv at 8:30 pm and the property manager, Hossein, was immediately available. They gave me clear instructions on how to turn off the oven safely using the breaker. I really appreciated their excellent availability and quick, helpful response late in the evening.

I have been renting from YULiv for the past two years and I can only speak highly of it. Communication with the property managers, Owen and Oceane, is always seamless, and the company is very transparent about what you get with your flat. I am now leaving Montréal, but I definitely recommend this company to people looking to rent.

It has been such a lovely and seemless transition into having Océan as mu property manager. She is not only so kind and charismatic, but fast to answer messages and incredibly supportive. Her availability to us as tenants goes above and beyond. I’m very happy to see her commitment to this position!
Edit: Yuliv took note of my dissatisfaction and made sure to fix things by reacting quickly and taking the time to listen to us (my roommates and me) and trying to find a compromise. This effort is appreciated, so I'm raising my rating.

Yuliv thinks he can do whatever he wants. Yuliv only thinks about business and doesn't take his tenants into consideration. They organize showings and notify you the same day because they don't care if you're home. They make you feel like they can do what they want and that you're in their home. If you have plans? Not their problem.
On the other hand, they're very quick to respond when there are problems with the apartment's equipment, that's for sure, you can't take that away from them. So fast that if I make a complaint on a Monday evening at 10:30 p.m., someone will enter my apartment on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. without me having received any prior response to my complaint or having been warned. It's very strange to be woken up by a stranger at home, it makes you feel comfortable, considered and safe. I will never rent a yuliv apartment again, that's for sure.

I wanted to commend the manager of the apartment rented for my daughter who is a student in Montreal. Owen has been very responsive and professional. And I too am a landlord so know how hard it is to be available for tenants when they require assistance. It takes follow through and a genuine commitment to a respectful relationship between tenant and manager/landlord. Thanks so much for your help ! Owen is fantastic! highly recommended
